Method
- Heat vegetable oil to 325 degrees.
- Sift together the dry ingredients in a large bowl.
- Beat in the egg and milk, then dump in the corn.
- Stir to combine well.
- Drop the mixture into the fryer 1 tablespoon at a time. Drop 3 - 5 spoons per batch.
- When the fritters are golden brown and floating remove from the fryer and place on a paper towel line plate to drain.
- Serve warm with syrup or honey.
