Vegetable oil can contain a blend of different oils while canola oil is made from rapeseed, which is a plant that is related to the cabbage family. With an oil that is blended it is harder to tell how much good or bad fats you are getting when you consume it. Canola oil is considered one of the top oils for heart health and you know exactly what plant was used to make it.

Oil is one of those things that most people aren’t picky about when they are shopping. It’s easy to mistakenly think they are all the same and go for the bargain. But now that you know that canola oil is a healthier choice compared to vegetable oil, your choice is already made. Just compare the different brands of canola oil and choose the best price from those. Skip the vegetable oil from now on. You won’t miss it because canola oil and vegetable oil taste very similar and won’t change anything about your recipes.
