Easy Appetizer
I love appetizers. This is the story behind this recipe. I went on a date with my husband to a tapas bar. I ordered these and then I had to order another plate. They were so good I couldn’t believe that they were so easy to make. These easy goat cheese appetizers can be made with turkey bacon or with normal bacon. I made mine with turkey bacon because that is what my son likes.
Ingredients for easy goat cheese appetizer:
Goat cheese
Turkey bacon
Dates
and Brandy if you wish. This is optional but wonderful!
You will need to remove the pits from the dates.
This is how I do it. I put the spoon in the date and then I pull it out.
Then stuff the dates with the goat cheese
I wrapped the bacon around the date and then I cut the bacon
Then you place a toothpick through the date.
Then you should place the dates on a tray.
Then I brush the bacon wrapped dates with brandy. I place them in the oven at 350 for 30 minutes or until the bacon is crisp. You may have to turn them over.

Ingredients
- brandy
- turkey bacon or "real" bacon
- dates
- goat cheese
Instructions
- Wash the dates and pat them dry. Then you will need to take out the pit. Once the pit is out stuff them with goat cheese. Then wrap a piece of bacon around the date. I cut off the extra turkey bacon. You will secure the bacon with a toothpick. Then glaze the bacon with brandy. Finally, put them in the oven for 30 minutes at 350 you may have to turn the date over to make sure the bacon has cooked.
